About YCGE

Archaic definitions of wealth (as money, material, and information), threaten to destroy the planet and what remains of human community, creating crisis, inequality and environmental destruction.

New productive forces based on human cultural development and creativity have redefined the nature of wealth, from quantitative to qualitative. Real development can now only be defined in terms of individual, community and ecological regeneration.

The Young Champions of the Green Economy (YCGE) movement was set up to coordinate a global campaign to bring about a shift away from these dated definitions of prosperity, towards sustainable living based on the service of human and planetary need.

In short, we are an international youth movement on a mission to champion the global green economy - a network of campaigners across the world, influencing change and informing the opinions of the cultural creators of the future.
